Content Management and Records management with HP Records Manager helps you manage content use, compliance and policies using a fully compliant system certified across all key international standards. HP Record Manager’s integration with various portals provides management and archiving of content including sites, but it does not include integration with unified search.

Our HP TRIM Connector was specifically developed for HP Records Manager, establishing a secure connection to the TRIM application and mapping the content including metadata and attachments from the TRIM schema to the search engine schema. It then extracts content and feeds it to the search engine in a process called crawling.  

This connector supports both full crawls and incremental crawls:

  • Full crawls, which extract all desired content
  • Incremental crawls, which extract only content which has changed since the last crawl

As new versions of the search platforms are released, new features and functionality are introduced, and the same is true of new releases of TRIM. It is simply a matter of accessing the BA Insight customer portal, downloading the latest release, and installing and configuring it.
