Box offers a cloud-based solution that provides file-sharing, collaboration, and other tools for working with files that are uploaded to its servers.
Users decide how their content can be shared with other users, often by inviting others to view and/or edit an account's shared files, upload documents and photos to a shared files folder. They can then provide user rights to others which lets them share those documents outside of Box.
Box offers three account types: Enterprise, Business, and Personal. Box support Windows and OS X and a variety of mobile devices.
The BA Insight Box connector makes it possible to surface content from Box in SharePoint and other portals, enabling users to get integrated search results from SharePoint and Box. This eliminates the need to do multiple searches, which can often cause inconsistent results and decreased productivity. A single consolidated search index referencing Box, along with content from SharePoint and other repositories, is surfaced as a single unified result set, giving users a single access point for searching across the enterprise.
