BOSTON, Mass. – November 04, 2019– BA Insight, an innovator in AI-driven enterprise search, has today announced availability of ConnectivityHub, a highly scalable, purpose-built platform upon which connectors for enterprise systems are built. There are also more than 80 available enterprise Connectors for Microsoft Search.

As Microsoft detailed during the Microsoft Ignite 2019 keynote, third-party connectors are a key capability and differentiating factor that will drive adoption and success of Microsoft Search.  BA Insight has been working with Microsoft since last year’s Microsoft Ignite to help define the new API requirements and validating it through the reengineering of its products to support both Microsoft Search and Cloud SSA deployments. Based on the extensive experience BA Insight has with the development and implementation of high-performance indexing connectors, this collaboration has enabled the company to bring the “voice of BAI enterprise customers” to Microsoft, further validating the need for extensibility to provide true boundary-less search.

Representatives from BA Insight and Microsoft will share additional details during Ignite on Thursday, November 7 at 10:15am, so please attend or livestream this session to hear more.

Key benefits of the BA Insight Connectors for Microsoft Search include:

  • Integrate enterprise-wide content into the Microsoft Office 365 search index, providing a unified experience
  • Provides secure, high performance crawling and indexing
  • Manages sophisticated security scenarios
  • Maps security entitlements with source systems into search
  • Ensures results are trimmed to expose only content the user has access to
  • Selectively indexes relevant content from source systems
  • Transforms/redacts your data to comply with any PII/Data residency constraint

“Microsoft Search is a giant leap forward in delivering a true integrated search solution for enterprises with content spread across multiple systems, both within and outside of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem,” said Tony Malandain, Founder and Head of Development at BA Insight.  “With Microsoft 365 becoming more open and extensible, users benefit from having additional options to implement technologies that further improve their productivity, such as the integration of external enterprise content into the search interface and new UIs to improve their search experiences.  We are proud to partner with Microsoft to deliver these capabilities to our mutual customers.”

Mike Ammerlaan, Director, Microsoft 365 Ecosystem at Microsoft Corp. said, “Our collaboration with BA Insight enables enterprises to integrate Microsoft Search into their own applications via third party connectors so that users can make the most of all of their information, whether it is in Microsoft 365 or other systems.  With BA Insight’s pre-built connectors to over 90 systems, users can experience the power of Microsoft Search to more easily find information across their company’s content, no matter which application it is in or where it is located.”
