Massood Zarrabian - CEO

Massood Zarrabian joined BA Insight as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board in 2013. A software veteran with over 35 years of experience, Massood has a strong track record of building and growing profitable software companies. Massood has been instrumental in transforming BAI into an innovative technology company that helps organizations implement intelligent search by connecting enterprise systems with O365, SharePoint Server, and Elasticsearch while taking advantage of Microsoft’s and Google’s AI services. BA Insight’s software portfolio now includes support for O365, introduced in 2015, as well as support for all recent versions of SharePoint on-premise (including SharePoint 2019).  It has also been expanded to support Elasticsearch on-premise, Elastic Cloud and Elastic Cloud Enterprise.

Prior to joining BA Insight, Massood served as CEO and Chairman of Certeon, which helped enterprises eliminate traditional network constraints and accelerated application performance.  Before that he served as President and CEO of OutStart from 2001 to 2012, which was acquired by Kenexa. Previously, Massood served as President and CEO of ServiceSoft Technologies, where he led the company’s successful merger with Broadbase Software.

Sean Coleman - Chief Customer Officer

Sean is a technologist at heart with a passion for working with customers.  As Chief Customer Officer he plays an active role in contributing to BA Insight’s product and market strategy, while also working as an executive sponsor to many of BA Insight’s innovative customers. He continues to work closely with global enterprises of all sizes to ensure visionary and successful implementations of cognitive solutions enterprise-wide, covering a variety of platforms including Azure Search, Elasticsearch, SharePoint Online, and SharePoint On-Premise. He is a regular contributor to the BA Insight Blog, the Shared Insights podcast, and attends and speaks at multiple industry events such as Elastic{ON}, ILTACON, and SharePoint/O365 Symposium.

Prior to joining BA Insight, Sean was critical to the success of IBM’s Smarter Workforce initiative where he served as Director of Global Implementations, as part of the acquisition of Kenexa. Prior to that he served as Director of Worldwide Customer Support and Director of Development at OutStart. Sean holds a Master of Science degree in management and strategic leadership from New England College and a Bachelor of Science degree in business and management information systems from East Carolina University.

Debbie Braunert

Debbie Ferolito - Chief Marketing Officer

Debbie is an accomplished marketing leader with over 25 years of results-driven marketing experience responsible for BA Insight’s marketing strategy and execution. Her responsibilities include messaging and positioning, thought leadership, digital marketing, and inbound and outbound demand generation programs that drive new revenue opportunities.

Prior to BA Insight, Debbie served as Vice President of Marketing for SoundBite Communications, where she successfully positioned the company for an IPO and facilitated growth strategies that led to a $100M acquisition by Genesys. Prior to SoundBite, Debbie led all marketing initiatives at Pedestal Software, which was acquired by Altiris for $65M. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a marketing concentration and a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Bentley University.

Peter Lambert

Peter Lambert - Director of Finance

Peter joined BA Insight as Director of Finance in 2017. He has eight years of public accounting experience where he primarily focused on software and internet companies. Previously, Peter was a member of EY’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice, focusing on financial and accounting due diligence. He assisted both strategic and financial buyers with due diligence, value creation, structuring and other advisory support across multiple industries on transactions ranging from under $20 million to over $3 billion. Peter also spent four years at Grant Thornton in the audit practice leading financial audit teams and managing public and private company audits in the technology, manufacturing and retail sectors. He holds a BSA in Accounting from Bryant University and an MBA in Finance from Suffolk University – Sawyer Business School.

Mike Gregory - Director of Systems Engineering

Mike works closely with our prospects and customers as an advisor to help them transform the outcomes of their digital interactions through advanced search experiences. He strives to exceed their employees’ requirements of finding the critical information that makes them more efficient in their jobs. Having spent more than seven years in this space, Mike has been involved in hundreds of discussions, technology demonstrations, POCs and implementations across organizations of all sizes and industries. 

Using the BA Insight software portfolio, Mike has helped numerous companies take advantage of technologies such as Amazon Elasticsearch, Amazon Kendra, Azure Cognitive Search, Elasticsearch, Microsoft Search, SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-premise and Solr to build search platforms that deliver web-like search experiences that are personalized, relevant and actionable.

During his more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software, Mike has advised hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies around the world, advancing their IT strategies and infrastructure. 


Yuri Milshtein - CTO of Appbus

Yuri brings 20 years of experience in software development and architecture to the company.  He oversaw the development, product management, and launch of the AppBus platform.  Prior to that, Yuri served as the Head of the Mobile Platform Development team at UBS AG, where he proposed and created the first BYOD mobile solution and the first client-facing mobile application within UBS Wealth Management Americas.


Paul Kanevsky - Chief Innovation Officer

Paul has 25+ years of experience bringing innovation to some of the world largest enterprises and early stage start-ups. Author of multiple patents and the architect of some of the largest digital transformation initiatives on Wall Street, Paul holds a graduate degree in Computer Science from Columbia University. He started his career by creating some of the first commercial video games while still in high school, then worked at AT&T Bell Labs, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, UBS, and a number of startups that he co-founded.

Prior to joining BA Insight Massood served as CEO and Chairman of Certeon, and prior to that, he served as President and CEO of OutStart from 2001 to 2012, which was acquired by Kenexa. Previously, Massood served as President and CEO of ServiceSoft Technologies, where he led the company’s successful merger with Broadbase Software. He also held management and executive positions at Computervision Corporation for nearly 22 years, in a variety of roles in research and development, sales, and marketing. Massood received a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Nate Lentz

Nate Lentz - Board Director

Nate Lentz joined Osage Partners in 2008 having previously been the President and CEO of Verticalnet, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand supply management software solutions, which was sold in January, 2008 to Italy-based BravoSolution. He served as the Malvern, PA-based Verticalnet’s CEO for over five years and was attributed with leading the transformation of Verticalnet from an online operator of web portals to a proven software solution provider, while navigating the company through a financial turnaround and ultimately a successful exit. Prior to Verticalnet, Lentz was a Partner at Mercer Management Consulting and led both the San Francisco and the Hong Kong offices. During his time at Mercer, he worked closely with multinational companies and high growth emerging businesses both in the U.S. and in over fifteen countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Lentz began his career at Chemical Bank in New York providing lending and structured finance services to mid-size companies. He is a graduate of Brown University and of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he graduated with honors. Lentz serves on the Board of Directors of Carnegie Speech, Landslide Technologies, InstaMed, Hard Metrics, ProtonMedia, FieldView and BA Insight.


Phillip Eliot

Phillip Eliot - Board Director

Philip Eliot is a Principal at Paladin Capital Group and focuses on investments in technology-driven companies in a variety of industries. He has been working with early-stage technology companies since 2000, when he joined FBR Technology Venture Partners, a $200 million venture capital fund focused on software and telecommunications companies in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Paladin, Eliot was a Vice President at Core Capital Partners, where he led investments in software and infrastructure companies including SilverStorm Technologies (acquired by QLogic, NASDAQ: QLGC) and RulesPower Corp. (acquired by Fair, Isaac; NYSE: FIC). He began his career as a consultant at Dean & Company, working in the telecommunications and utilities industries as well as the firm’s private equity practice. Eliot received a B.A. in Physics with Honors from Harvard University.


Todd Pietri

Todd Pietri - Board Director

Todd Pietri is a co-founder and General Partner of Activate Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital fund focused on technology-enhanced services businesses. In addition to BA Insight, Pietri is responsible for numerous Activate investments in software, data, and Internet services companies. Sectors of interest and expertise for Pietri include enterprise IT, digital healthcare, financial services IT, business services, media and marketing services. Activate Venture Partners is based in New York City. Prior to Activate, Pietri was an investment banker, a turn-around LBO firm investment professional, and a software company operating executive. His operating experience spans direct sales, sales management, channel management, business development and business process consulting. Pietri received his BA (cum laude) in English from Duke University in 1989 and his MBA (valedictorian) from the Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University in 1997. He is also a CFA charterholder and a regular guest lecturer on venture capital at The Johnson School, Cornell University’s MBA program.

Glen is a Managing Partner of Activate Venture partners, an early stage-oriented venture capital firm headquartered in New York with offices in Pennsylvania. Glen began his venture capital career when he joined Key Venture Capital Corporation upon completing his MBA and opened its Boston office in 1984.

Investments that Glen has led include International Quantum Epitaxy (LSE: IQE plc), the world’s leading merchant manufacturer of compound semiconductor wafers, Innovative Solutions & Support, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISSC), a leading provider of flat panel avionics to commercial aircraft, Access Health (NASDAQ: ACCS, acquired by McKesson), a leading provider of health information solutions, Ravisent Technologies (NASDAQ: RSVT), a leader in digital video solutions, AnyTime Access (acquired by Digital Insight), a provider of on-line loan origination and processing solutions, UltraCision (acquired by Johnson & Johnson), developer of the Harmonic Scalpel system, MicroE Systems (acquired by GSI), manufacturer of the most advance position management solutions and CareGain (acquired by Fiserv), a provider of consumer-directed health plan solutions. Glen holds a BSBA, cum laude, from Boston University and an MBA from Babson College.
