BA Insight Expands Development and Services Operation with New Boston Office and Moves New York Headquarters Downtown
New York, NY – December 22, 2010 – BA Insight, Inc., an enterprise search software company specializing in Microsoft-based information access technology, announced today the expansion of their development and services operations with a new office in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as the move of headquarters to Manhattan to accommodate growth. This recent expansion is part of the execution of the $6 million in private equity funding BA Insight secured earlier this year.
BA Insight is deploying a portion of the capital raised to open the office in Boston and add to the existing team of developers, to support further development and extension of its suite of SharePoint Search products. “The market for BA Insight technologies is rapidly expanding in U.S. government, professional services, energy and other sectors,” explained Glenn Gnabasik, BA-Insight Director of Connector Development. “We are in the process of hiring new talent in the greater Boston area to build the organization needed to support our growth in those markets.”
BA Insight’s flagship product Longitude optimizes Microsoft’s SharePoint Search, and FAST Search for SharePoint platforms. Users can find, analyze, and act on relevant information regardless of the format or where the data resides. Longitude offers out-of-the-box SharePoint Connectors to more than 20 business applications including ERP, CRM, Messaging, and ECM. Longitude also provides a state of the art user experience via a rich Silverlight SharePoint document viewer. BA Insight also appointed Inna Gordin as the VP of Marketing and Communications to manage the current BA Insight global marketing team from the New York headquarters. “Inna’s extensive experience in the SharePoint software marketplace and the involvement in the community through the SharePoint Reviews website make her an ideal addition to BA-Insight,” said Guy Mounier, BA Insight CEO.
As the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Gordin will lead the development and implementation of BA-Insight’s marketing strategy and direction. With over 14 years of technology marketing experience, Gordin is responsible for all corporate marketing activities, including online and traditional advertising, event and channel marketing, as well as PR and corporate brand positioning. Prior to BA Insight, Gordin held various VP of Marketing positions in technology companies, including AvePoint, a leading global Microsoft SharePoint Infrastructure Management Software Provider, where she was responsible for all corporate marketing activities and contributing to the company’s triple digit growth. Earlier, at Apptix, a leading SaaS provider, she had developed a go-to-market strategy for the company’s new online division, winning a Microsoft Sales and Marketing Partner of The Year Award.
