BA Insight Adds 10 New Indexing Connectors

Total Number of Connectors Now Over SEVENTY, the Most Offered in the Industry

Boston, MA – November 7, 2016 – BA Insight introduces 10 new indexing connectors that provide secure, high performance indexing for enterprise content sources to make business-critical information accessible and searchable. These pre-built connectors provide connectivity to on-premises and Software-as-a-Service business systems and include heterogeneous security to honor the source systems’ security schemas. The new connectors allow Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 customers to surface line-of-business data easily and flexibly.

All connectors work across different search engines, including search within SharePoint, Elasticsearch, Recommind Decisiv Search, and Google Search Appliance. They also support multiple environments, including SharePoint on-premises, SharePoint Online within Office 365, and hybrid SharePoint.  Office 365 customers get the added benefit of bringing line-of-business data into experiences such as Delve, and compliance functions such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and e-Discovery, into the Microsoft Graph.

BA Insight’s ready-made connectors can be immediately deployed in an organization’s environment, without the need for any additional customization. They also reduce the need to migrate content from one system to another, protecting existing investments while quickly surfacing content from disparate source systems into SharePoint for a unified view.

The new connectors include:

  • SharePoint 2016
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 and Microsoft Dynamics Online 2016
  • Microsoft Yammer
  • ServiceNow
  • Veeva Vault
  • Objective EDM
  • SAP ERP
  • IBM DB2
  • Lexis Nexis Search Advantage
  • Neudesic’s The Firm Directory

BA Insight also maintains and updates its current set of connectors to ensure optimal performance with the latest versions of the supported content systems.

“When connecting users to disparate content sources, there are several important factors that need to be considered, such as accessing unstructured content, maintaining high throughput, minimizing the impact on source systems, and preserving the source systems’ security schemas,” said Jeff Fried, Chief Technology Officer at BA Insight. “Organizations often don’t realize how difficult developing connectors can be. Our out-of-the-box connectors save our customers a great deal of development time so that they can provide access much sooner to the valuable content their users need.”

“SharePoint empowers our customers to discover, share and collaborate on content from anywhere and on any device,” Rob Howard, Director of Office Ecosystem, Microsoft Corp. “We’re pleased to see BA Insight support the business needs of our customers.”
