Senior Solutions Consultant |
BA Insight is an exciting, fast paced company with an excellent team focused on changing the world of Enterprise Search. We are looking for a skilled Solutions Consultant to drive customer deliverables and implement customer solutions. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of customer projects, delivering innovation and revolutionary search based solutions to industry leading companies. The successful candidate will have great customer communication skills, be an excellent problem solver and a team player. Our projects range from 3 weeks to 6 months in duration, and involve the deployment of enterprise Search Based Applications (SBAs) from design and installation / configuration through to the development and implementation of the Search User Interface.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement SharePoint based Search solutions into customer environments
- Own and lead specific customer engagements from project inception through final closure
- Manage customer satisfaction through technical leadership and by providing consistent, clear and concise communication through all project phases
- Provide input to our product development teams on innovative opportunities that extend our product set to better meet the needs of customers
- Work with other departments in the company to efficiently achieve customer satisfaction
Required skills and experience: - 5+ years of experience in professional services or customer solution delivery roles
- SharePoint development and administration experience
- .NET commercial software development experience (at least 3 years)
- Skilled with C#, VB.NET, Web Services, and SQL
- Active directory and security experience
- Development of UX for SharePoint or related applications / technologies
- Flexibility for adapting to quick changing conditions
- Strong wriiten and verbal communication skills and the ability to summarize complex technical information into straightforward language for customers
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills
Desired skills and experience: - Enterprise Systems experience including ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), Document/Content Management Systems (eRoom, Interwoven, Opentext, IBM, etc.)
- Experience with Enterprise Search
- Email and archiving Systems experience (Exchange, EVault, etc)
- IT Administration/Network Engineering/Security experience
Travel: Up to 25% travel to customer locations.

Senior Developer/Architect |
BA Insight is growing quickly and needs additional help expanding its product line. An organized, methodic senior developer or architect will have the opportunity to develop enterprise-scale software used by millions of users world-wide and expand it into a product line. The winning candidate must be a strong, hands-on senior developer or architect, capable with technology and a skilled communicator comfortable working with a virtual team.
Responsibilities:- Create prototypes as well as production code. Contribute across the full software development life cycle ranging from technology selection, prototyping, architecture and delivery
- Solve problems related to scalability, deployment/upgrade, integration/extensibility, operation and maintenance
- Design and mockup user experience to ensure consistency and coherent, delightful-to-use products
- Join a virtual team spanning over multiple time zones. Work with offshore team members to ensure high code quality and maintainability
- Review other team members' code and continually raise the bar on quality and development practices
- Work with other teams to ensure interoperability between products and develop coherent architecture with appropriate component re-use across projects
- Collaborate with support and solution teams to ensure responsiveness and delight customers
Skills: - Strong coding and design skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Detail oriented
- .Net / Microsoft technologies
- Strong communication skills to keep virtual, distributed team on sync with customer expectations
- Organized and methodic. Capable of handling several tasks and responsibilities at once
Experience: - Several years of experience working as a senior developer or architect

- Scrum/ Agile development
Working on shrink-wrapped software; working on Search technology / Intranet solutions; working on web-based applications; experience with small team/startup environments are all considered pluses.

SharePoint Software Engineers |
We are looking for several full-time mid to senior level Software Engineers who are well versed in Microsoft Technologies, specifically SharePoint and Enterprise Search. These positions will be involved in all aspects of product development and support, from planning to the deployment for the BA Insight client base of Fortune 100 companies. These positions are a great opportunity for someone who wants to get exposed to many different SharePoint initiatives for enterprise level installations while leveraging some of your existing skillsets and experience. You will work with some of the world's best SharePoint and FAST search experts, so there are lots of opportunities to learn and lots of fun to have.
